The Emilia Pérez star styled her new look simply, tucking strands behind her ears to highlight her blunt bangs and understated elegance. Her Met Gala appearance aligned with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and her look delivered on every detail.
Saldaña wore a custom Thom Browne gown that reportedly took more than 10,000 hours to create. The dress featured a sculpted, backless black corset with sharp tailoring around the waist and hips. White buttons lined the front and continued down a skirt made from 2.7 million hand-sewn white bugle beads. The slit skirt, long sleeves, and white bobble detailing added dimension and drama.
She completed the ensemble with dangling silver earrings, a bold silver ring, and black-and-white Oxford heels—an unexpected twist on traditional red carpet footwear.
Saldaña walked the carpet without her husband, Marco Perego-Saldaña, marking a solo return after attending last year’s gala in a Chloé gown alongside Emma Mackey, Greta Gerwig, Chemena Kamali, and Sienna Miller.
Her latest Met appearance comes on the heels of a landmark year. Saldaña received critical acclaim for Emilia Pérez, earning both a Golden Globe and her first Oscar.
