TikTok can’t get enough of beauty trends inspired by food—think butter skin, jam lips, or blueberry milk nails. Now, Bella Hadid’s new blonde hair, debuted at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, is adding to the list.
Hadid first showed off her new hair color as she arrived at her hotel in Cannes, dressed in all white with a sandy blonde updo. But it was on the red carpet where her hair truly stood out. The multi-tonal blonde reminded many of sweet treats like pecan sandies, caramel, and yellow cake.
To learn more, Bazaar spoke with Hadid’s colorist, Jacob Schwartz, who is the U.S. Hair Color Trend Ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional. Schwartz explained, “We wanted to create a tone that feels sunkissed, effortless, and incredibly chic.” He’s known for working with stars like Margot Robbie and Sydney Sweeney and says this new blonde blends cool and warm tones perfectly.
The golden undertones suit Hadid’s skin tone and flow naturally with her hair. Schwartz used Schwarzkopf’s Igora Vario Blond Super Plus on very thin sections to create warm “butter yellow” highlights, a trendy shade this season.
Other parts of her hair are cooler and sandy, resembling the color of shortbread cookies, specifically pecan sandies. Schwartz achieved this by painting four different shades of Igora Vibrance twice during the lowlight process, adding depth and a soft, hand-painted effect. He described it as “modern Hollywood glamour with a European edge.”
These food-inspired names not only make us hungry but also offer fun ideas for anyone wanting to try Bella Hadid’s sunkissed Cannes blonde or just freshen up their look.
