Travis Kelce’s longtime barber is clearing up rumors about the NFL star’s hair. Vince Garcia, who has been cutting Kelce’s hair for years, says the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s full head of hair is completely natural.
Kelce gained attention earlier this year for sporting longer locks during the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl, sparking speculation online about a possible hair transplant. Garcia told Us Weekly there’s no truth to those claims. “Nah, not at all, man,” he said. “That’s a full head of hair right there.”
Garcia, a Los Angeles-based stylist, has worked with Kelce on everything from regular haircuts to preparing him for commercials and TV appearances. “He’ll come to my barbershop or my house,” Garcia said. “Most of the commercials he’s done, I’ve been there to get him ready.”
Over time, the professional relationship has grown into a personal one. “He’s a great dude, man. A great friend, as well,” Garcia added.
Kelce’s hair even became a topic of light-hearted teasing on the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, former NFL player Jason Kelce. In a March episode, Jason joked, “Take that hat off. You’ve got the suave.”
Travis eventually revealed his grown-out hair beneath a Cincinnati Bearcats cap. Jason responded, “I can’t believe you haven’t started balding.” Travis laughed off the comment, replying, “What? We’re Kelces,” suggesting their family has strong hair genetics.
Despite the social media buzz, Kelce’s hair is simply the result of good genes and regular grooming — not surgery.
