Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, the 33-year-old subject of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, is embracing spring with a fresh new look. The Louisiana native, who recently became a mother, is enjoying festival season while showcasing her style.
On May 2, Blanchard shared a photo on her Instagram showing herself and her partner, Ken Urker, sitting on a sofa before heading out for the weekend. The caption simply featured a red heart emoji.
In the photo, Blanchard sported long, blonde, loose curls and a sultry, plunging black leather-like halter top. She paired the top with denim shorts and white cowgirl boots, completing her outfit with a necklace. Urker also posted a picture of the couple at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, or “Jazz Fest,” where they enjoyed the music and festival vibes, both wearing dark sunglasses.
Blanchard’s blonde hair, likely a wig, was a noticeable change, especially since she had shorter brown hair during Easter just weeks earlier.
This isn’t the first time Blanchard has switched up her look. In March 2024, she revealed a frosty blonde hairstyle, moving away from her usual brunette style. After being released from prison for the 2016 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, Gypsy-Rose has been embracing new beginnings, including a new haircut. She even cut eight inches off her hair and debuted a chic bob for the New Year.
“New year, new mom, new haircut, new me,” she posted after welcoming her daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, on December 28, 2024, marking the one-year anniversary of her release.
Just last month, Blanchard shared a photo celebrating Easter with her family, where she wore a loose, cap-sleeved dress and her signature brunette hair, showing a more relaxed look compared to her recent festival appearance.
