“For tonight’s appearance, Miley was intent on channeling the essence of her custom Alaïa,” Recine told InStyle. “To echo the dress’s razor-sharp tailoring, I created a slicked-back, origami braid hairstyle that was sleek, intentional, and radiated strength.”
The style featured slick, pulled-back strands that formed a clean, sculptural braid. Recine described the look as a subtle nod to classic dandy hairstyles, emphasizing precision and shine. “I was drawn to the idea of a strong, ultra-slick updo—something that felt almost liquid in its shine,” he said.
