Lynda Carter and her daughter Jessica Altman made a striking appearance at the Paley Honors Spring Gala in New York on Monday night, where they turned heads with their coordinated looks and shared resemblance.
The event honored the 50th anniversary of the Wonder Woman television series, which made Carter a household name in the late 1970s. Carter portrayed the iconic superhero from 1975 to 1979.
Carter wore a dramatic Jean Paul Gaultier outfit, featuring a satin corset with lace trim and beaded details, a sleek black maxi skirt, and a flowing damask robe with puffed sleeves. She completed the look with red satin gloves, stacked jeweled bracelets, and a matching pendant.
Altman, 34, opted for a chic black off-the-shoulder tea-length dress by Jason Wu. She accessorized with high-heeled sandals and a structured top-handle purse.
Both women styled their brunette hair in soft, voluminous waves, echoing Carter’s famous Wonder Woman look.
“The portrayal of Wonder Woman by Lynda Carter remains a timeless symbol of strength, courage, and empowerment,” said Maureen J. Reidy, president and CEO of The Paley Center for Media, in a statement to Variety.
Carter also appeared in the Wonder Woman film franchise, playing Amazon warrior Asteria in the 2020 sequel Wonder Woman 1984, directed by Patty Jenkins.
Carter shares two children, James and Jessica, with her late husband, lawyer and video game executive Robert Altman.
