The blunt bob continues to dominate as this season’s most popular haircut, with celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Keke Palmer, and Jenna Lyons all recently showcasing their own versions of the sleek, chin-length style. The latest to join the trend is Today show co-host Jenna Bush Hager, who debuted her new look live on air.
During a March episode of the morning show, Hager told guest Leslie Bibb that Bibb’s sharp bob in The White Lotus had inspired her to consider a big chop. Bibb, who jokingly referred to the style as the “cunty little bob,” returned to Today on June 16 as a guest co-host and made sure Hager followed through.
Viewers watched live as celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan—best known for styling Bibb’s bob—cut Hager’s hair on set. The final look was revealed during the next day’s broadcast on June 17.
The bob, in all its variations—from Italian to curly—has remained a go-to hairstyle for many. Its popularity is due in part to its simplicity and ease of styling, especially during warmer months when low-maintenance hair is a priority.
As more celebrities embrace the blunt bob, the trend shows no sign of slowing down.
