The internet is no stranger to bizarre food experiments, but a recent viral video on Instagram has left many users stunned—and grossed out. In a strange twist on cooking tutorials, the video shows a man preparing Maggi noodles using an unusual surface: another man’s heavily styled hair.
The video opens in a barbershop, where a man is seated in a chair with a stiff pompadour hairstyle, held in place with excessive hairspray. The center of his hair is shaped into a bowl-like hollow. The barber then pours water into this makeshift “hair bowl,” adds instant Maggi noodles and seasoning, covers it with foil, and uses a flame blower to cook the mixture.
After heating it for a few minutes, the barber removes the foil to reveal the cooked noodles and proceeds to eat a spoonful—straight from the top of the man’s head.
Titled “Hair cook Maggi,” the video has sparked a wave of reactions across social media. Popular food delivery app Swiggy commented, “Bro has zero haters,” striking out the word “zero” for emphasis.
Other users chimed in with their own takes. “Dandruff flavored Maggi,” one wrote, while another joked, “We got Hair Maggiee before GTA 6.” A third quipped, “Hair in food (cross), food in hair (tick).”
The bizarre stunt has received millions of views and widespread attention, but not everyone is amused. For many, it’s another example of how far some creators will go for internet fame—even if it means serving up “Maggi dandruff masala.”
