While Butler kept some facial hair—a light mustache and subtle scruff—the change marks a major departure from his usual style. Known for fully committing to his roles, the actor’s fresh cut is likely tied to an upcoming film project. Although he has several in development, it remains unclear which role required the transformation.
The buzz cut follows a recent appearance in New York City, where Butler was seen filming with chin-length hair. Whether this new look is connected to the same project or a different one altogether is still unknown.
Fans may remember Butler from his early days on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101, where he wore shaggy, surfer-style hair, or from his more polished look during the Elvis press tour.
