Nicole Kidman is opening up about the secret to her ever-evolving hairstyles. In a recent interview with Australia’s Sunrise morning show, the Babygirl star shared that wigs and hairpieces often help her pull off dramatic transformations.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Did you chop your hair off?’ I’m like, ‘No, I did not,’” Kidman said, referring to the bold two-tone pixie cut she wore to the 2025 Met Gala. She confirmed the look was a wig, adding simply, “I love changing my hair.”
Kidman’s most recent appearance was at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where she again opted for a wig—this time in long, strawberry-blonde waves resembling her natural color. The visit marked her return to the festival after eight years.
While in Cannes, Kidman took part in two events linked to the Kering Women in Motion initiative. She gave a talk and later accepted an award recognizing her advocacy for women in the film industry.
“I’m so happy to be here supporting women’s voices in cinema,” Kidman said during the ceremony, according to Variety. “I’m an advocate and want to continue moving forward with my pledge. It ain’t over.”
