Selena Gomez continues to reinvent her style, this time stepping out with a sleek new haircut at the Rare Beauty Mental Health Summit in Los Angeles on May 1.
The singer, actress, and beauty brand founder wore a polished long bob that was both sharp and soft. Celebrity hairstylist Marissa Marino, a longtime collaborator of Gomez, styled the look with a center part and straightened the hair for a smooth, mirror-like finish. The ends were tucked under slightly, adding shape and subtle movement to the hairstyle.
Marino did not reveal the exact products used, but Gomez’s glossy hair stole the spotlight, reflecting light with a glass-like shine.
To complete the look, makeup artist Hung Vanngo applied soft pink blush and a glossy pink lip, giving Gomez a fresh and radiant appearance.
The new style is part of Gomez’s ongoing love affair with short hair, which she returned to in late 2024 with a flipped-out bob. Since then, she has showcased a variety of chic, short hairstyles—from soft waves and ’90s-inspired barrettes to voluminous ’80s curls.
During this year’s awards season, Gomez leaned into Old Hollywood glamour. She wore a sleek ’60s bob at the SAG Awards, a dramatic style reminiscent of Elizabeth Taylor at the Golden Globes, and paid tribute to Marilyn Monroe at the Oscars.
Each look reflects her playful approach to beauty, proving that short hair doesn’t limit style—it elevates it.
