Cara Delevingne turned heads with a bold new look at the Cannes Film Festival this week.
The British model and actress walked the red carpet on Wednesday wearing a striking dark wig styled with a wet-look finish and shaggy bangs. She paired the hairstyle with a burgundy gown and silver jewelry. Her makeup featured a smoky eye, strong brows, and a nude lip.
Delevingne was attending the premiere of The History Of Sound, a queer love story starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor. On the red carpet, she paused to greet fellow actress Aja Naomi King, who was also there for the event.
By the next day, Delevingne was seen out with her natural blonde hair pulled into a bun, suggesting her dark hair transformation was only temporary.
Delevingne has been steadily building her career in film and television. She recently appeared in popular series like American Horror Story and Only Murders in the Building. Upcoming projects include The Murderous Miss Highsmith, where Shailene Woodley plays author Patricia Highsmith, and Punk, featuring Machine Gun Kelly.
In a 2024 interview with The Guardian, Delevingne shared her ambition to perform on stage. “Broadway would be a dream,” she said. She recalled her childhood love for theater, including a time she broke her wrist jumping off a stage but didn’t notice until after the show. “It’s the same now, especially being sober—that adrenaline and sensation of losing yourself. I’ve had some personal things happen in my life but I go on stage and forget about all of it,” she said.
