Adam Levine stunned fans with a striking two-tone hairstyle during The Voice Live Finale on May 19. The Maroon 5 frontman debuted a bleached blonde buzz cut paired with a natural dark brown scruffy beard, creating a sharp contrast.
This look echoes the icy, silver-gray shade Levine wore during the Playoffs, a color that sparked debate among coaches. Michael Bublé joked about the shade, asking, “Is that silver, gray, or white?” Kelsea Ballerini suggested it might be blonde or silver, but probably not gray. John Legend speculated Levine wanted to show his “OG status” with real gray hair. Levine himself called it a “platinum-y, icy white color.”
Artist Iris Herrera praised Levine’s style, saying, “I love your hair; this is a move,” while Legend called it “the talk of the town.” Bublé summed it up best, comparing the look to “Dick Van Dyke and David Beckham having a baby… sexy.”
Levine returned to the show this season without longtime coaching partner Blake Shelton. On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Levine recalled their playful rivalry, sharing a story about how Shelton encouraged him to push boundaries. “You hit me as hard as you want. You will never go too hard,” Shelton told him, a challenge he always honored.
Fans can only wonder what Shelton would say about Levine’s bold new hair.
