Pamela Anderson has long been known for her iconic blonde hair, a signature part of her image since rising to fame in the 1990s. “[My mom] taught me how to color my hair from the drugstore,” Anderson shared. “Five dollars for a box, and I can do it myself in 20 minutes.” She often switches dye brands, choosing cruelty-free options. In the documentary, she is seen using Garnier Hair Color Nutrisse Ultra Color Light Platinum.

Hoping for subtle highlights, she used Sun-In on her chestnut hair but ended up with a flat, pale tone. “I never intended to be blond,” she wrote in her 2023 memoir Love, Pamela. “Maybe I shouldn’t have dumped the entire bottle on my perfectly healthy chestnut locks that sunny day at the beach.”
Her transformation into a blonde bombshell came with her Playboy debut. “The Playboy hairdresser just added a thousand highlights,” she said. “At least then my hair was a champagne blonde, and not [an] envelope.”
In recent years, Anderson has embraced a simpler beauty approach. She appeared makeup-free at Paris Fashion Week in 2023, a decision she carried into later appearances, including the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards. She paired the natural look with soft, side-parted curls in her usual blonde shade.
“I didn’t [realize] it was going to start all of this, all these people really relating to me,” she told The Times. “It’s a great message — we are good enough just the way we are.”
At the 2025 Met Gala, Anderson debuted another striking look. She wore her hair in a chin-length bob with baby bangs, keeping her signature platinum hue. Her outfit — a sequined Tory Burch gown — paid tribute to chainmail, nodding to the evening’s theme.
“For the Met, I wanted something strong, brave, and committed,” she told Who What Wear. “I believe the world needs more of a feminine warrior presence, and this was my small contribution.”
