As the new season of And Just Like That premieres next week, fans are eagerly anticipating the return of their favorite New York icons. But off-screen, star Kristin Davis is gaining attention for her openness about a personal issue that many women face—hair loss.
Davis, 60, has played Charlotte since the original Sex and the City series. Known for her glossy and full brunette hair, she surprised many when she revealed in a 2017 interview with WWD that her hair had become noticeably thinner.
“My hair just was not what it used to be,” she said. “It was very fine, like it had gone away. There just was hardly any hair there.” At the time, she admitted that between caring for her daughter and a busy life, she hadn’t paid much attention—until she was preparing for events and realized how much it had changed.
Hair thinning is common in women, especially after childbirth or during menopause. Davis, now appearing more radiant than ever, credits a specific hair product for helping her hair regain volume and shine.
In a recent Instagram video, Davis is seen showing off her healthy-looking hair while getting ready for The Today Show. She thanked her hairstylist Rebekah Forecast and gave a special mention to Highbrow Hippie’s Root Replenish Active Growth Serum.
“Love your serum!” she responded to the brand after they praised her hair’s shine. Davis is a longtime friend of Highbrow Hippie’s co-founder Kadi Lee, who celebrated their friendship in a heartfelt birthday post. “You show up for us consistently in ways big and small, and I’m so lucky to be going through this life with you,” Lee wrote.
Davis also supported the brand at its launch last November, alongside other high-profile fans, including Meghan Markle, who is both a supporter and investor. Markle has even gifted Highbrow Hippie’s Healthy Hair Duo—which includes the serum and a wellness supplement—to friends over the holidays. Davis credits both products for improving her hair’s health.
Customer reviews of the serum echo Davis’s praise. One user wrote, “Hair is growing in the crown area and along my part. I’m no longer self-conscious about my thinning white hair.” Another reviewer noted, “It’s lightweight, calms my scalp, and really supports my fine hair.”
The serum uses a blend of microbiome-balancing ingredients, antioxidant-rich resveratrol, and DHT blockers to support scalp health. The brand recommends applying it twice daily for the best results.
Fans can see Kristin Davis back in action when And Just Like That returns on May 29 on Max.
