Celebrity stylist Law Roach revealed a bold new look at the 2025 Met Gala, trading in his signature dark strands for a golden, coiffed hairstyle. Known for shaping the public images of stars like Zendaya and Céline Dion, Roach made a personal style statement of his own at this year’s fashion event.
“This is such a special night, and I wanted to change it up a bit,” Roach said in a phone interview on Sunday. “I’ve been blonde before, but never like this.” While his client Zendaya has famously worn blonde hair on red carpets, Roach said his inspiration was different this time. “My hair is telling a story for the night. It’s giving Blonde Prince,” he explained.
On Monday night, Roach wore multiple hats—literally and figuratively. He styled Zendaya and rising star Tyla while also stepping into the spotlight in a custom crushed velvet Burberry suit. “I am back to working-working!” he said, praising designer Daniel Lee’s leadership at the brand.
Roach shared that this Met Gala held deep meaning for him. “This Met Gala is personal,” he said. “Not only for myself, but also for all the people like me.” He also honored the late fashion icon André Leon Talley, a longtime inspiration. “I actually own a lot of his clothes,” Roach noted. “This feels like a way to almost immortalize him.”
The stylist’s new look and heartfelt tribute added a meaningful layer to fashion’s biggest night.
